TCC Group Holding held an inauguration ceremony for its Mainland China operations headquarters, the C.F. KOO Building, in Hangzhou on the 12th. The event brought together CEOs from TCC various business units across Taiwan, Turkey, Portugal, Italy, and other regions, including OYAK Cement, Cimpor Cement, NHOA Energy, and Atlante. The design of the C.F. KOO Building fully embodies TCC Group Holdin’s three major pillars of the global expansion across five continents: low-carbon building materials, resource recycling, and green energy. The building uses low-carbon cement produced by TCC Group Holding's cement plant in Jurong, Jiangsu, which utilizes washed fly ash as an alternative raw material. The facade of the building is designed with distinctive water sleeve imagery and features BIPV solar glass, generating an annual electricity output of 172.6 MWh, which is expected to save 2.47% of total energy consumption and reduce CO₂ emissions by 535 tons annually. The C.F. KOO Building also employs TCC's proprietary fire-resistant cement energy storage cabinet, EnergyArk, with a capacity of 6.18 MWh, paired with an 824 KWh energy storage system, and is equipped with 54 low-carbon fast-charging facilities. The first phase of energy storage will prioritize supplying the charging pile system, generating revenue from peak-valley electricity price differences; the second phase will assist the building in regulating electricity usage through energy storage.

The C.F. KOO Building is named in honor of TCC's former chairman, Mr. Koo Chen-fu’s courtesy name was Gongliang, and his motto was "Modesty leads to harmony, sincerity establishes trust."

He highly admired the great wisdom of Zhuge Liang and even portrayed him in a Peking opera performance on stage. At the inauguration ceremony, AI technology was used to recreate Mr. Koo's image on stage, with a performance of "Zhuge Playing the Qin" by Li Baochun, the head of the Taipei New Theatre and a renowned Peking opera artist. Chairman Nelson An-Ping Chang remarked that Mr. Koo once said, " A person's back view when turning away from the stage is significant; it represents their perspective on the play of life." Chang emphasized that the C.F. KOO Building symbolizes the inheritance of Mr. Koo's spirit by TCC Group Holding’s employees. He noted that some foresighted individuals have made grand vows to address climate change and save humanity. Chang also expressed his hope that the C.F. KOO Building would not only be a structure but also a starting point for the progress of civilization. "Taiwan Cement chose to plant a seed of civilization in Hangzhou, a historically prosperous city located at the confluence of the Qiantang River, carrying hope and dreams. Like Marco Polo's vision in his dreams, this seed will thrive on this fertile land, becoming a bridge connecting the East and West, and a tree spanning centuries."

The C.F. KOO Building in Hangzhou has received LEED/WELL Platinum pre-certification and has been recognized with several international awards, including the Global Engineering and Construction Excellence BIM Competition. In the future, the C.F. KOO Building will be a modern facility integrating smart offices, global goods, Michelin restaurants, and diverse ecosystems. The "Fiore Della Cina" hotel, operated by the LDC Hotels & Resorts Group, is expected to begin trial operations in the third quarter of 2025. The hotel will feature themes based on the four representative Italian cities of Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan, and will include a high-altitude open-air bar on the 45th floor, offering a panoramic view of the Qiantang River. The space design will be based on classical style and humanism, incorporating history, aesthetics, cuisine, and fashion into the design details, reinterpreting the story of human civilization.
