How TCC’s six generations foster communication and collaboration for a harmonious and healthy work environment. This summer, we set aside our workplace duties and ventured into nature together.

Exercise has always been a priority for TCC. The company hosts or participates in four major sports events every year (Dragon Boat Racing, Sun Moon Lake Swimming, Taroko Marathon, and the Round-Taiwan Cycling Challenge) and supports various employee-initiated sports clubs. These events provide opportunities for colleagues, who usually work hard across Taiwan, to reconnect or even have a” meet-up with online friends!”

TCC is like an ongoing book, with characters spanning six generations of colleagues, each diligently creating different exciting stories in their respective roles. Beyond business interactions, there are few opportunities for deeper exchanges. To address this, we organized the Dagouxi Ecological Tour, hoping colleagues could temporarily set aside their work, let nature’s unique healing power gently infiltrate their minds, bodies, and lives, gain a sense of calm and renewal, and foster better understanding and communication with one another.

Interaction with Nature

On a Saturday morning, with a mix of anticipation and nervousness, we headed to the meeting point to join the group. After confirming that all companions were present, we set off!

We strolled along a clear stream, admiring the leisurely swimming fish, and walked along lush forest trails. The large group moved forward in pairs, chatting and laughing freely. During the journey, we encountered a small dog, and everyone happily greeted and petted the little cutie. Further along, we discovered a camouflaged grasshopper hidden in the grass. A father excitedly introduced this little guest to his child, attracting curious adults nearby. Suddenly, a cool breeze blew, and everyone cheered in unison, “How refreshing! This is nature’s wind.” After emerging from the forest trail, the warm sunlight shone down on everyone, and before we knew it, we had reached our destination: Yuanjue Waterfall. Familiar colleagues began playing and taking photos in the stream with the children while experienced hikers eagerly shared the fruits they had prepared that morning. Suddenly, someone spotted a large spider hunting its prey, and exclamations of surprise echoed as everyone marveled at the wonders of the food chain, all naturally unfolding in the great outdoors.

On this journey, walking alone might seem distant and tiring, but when we walked together, the path became easy and fun. The beautiful scenery and experiences were shared, and every step was filled with strength and joy, making the journey feel shorter and the fatigue insignificant.

Inter-generational Sharing
The special aspect of this event was that even those who were not good at or experienced in exercise could easily participate in the walk. What impressed me was that, as the slope increased and the distance grew, the length of the group gradually extended. Before I knew it, my companions had changed several times, and we encouraged each other as we moved toward our goal. During the walk, partners of different ages shared their stories and experiences, and I was surprised to see how different everyone became after taking off their work shirts. Senior colleagues transformed from professional and serious at work to relaxed and chatty after hours.

This interaction made me realize that, despite coming from different generations, we could find common topics and build bridges of understanding in nature. The magic of nature lies in its ability to bring together people from different generations. Senior partners shared their life experiences and wisdom, while young people discussed modern issues and perspectives. This exchange of ideas was filled with laughter, bringing everyone closer—from mentors to wise friends, from colleagues to partners, from strangers to friends, all finding common interests.

The Dagouxi adventure was not just about the joy along the way, but also about the collective participation and mutual connection of intergenerational partners. The lush forests, clear streams, and fresh air along the way became part of our shared memories. In the future, I hope to participate in more similar activities and invite more colleagues to join, allowing us to find laughter, interaction, and opportunities for exchange in nature while enhancing our relationships.
