TCC's global expansion into new energy has led to revenue surpassing NT$154.6 billion over the past eight years, an increase of over 70%. Notably, TCC's new energy business turned profitable in 2024, achieving an EBITDA margin of 14%. Furthermore, its subsidiary, Atlante, has joined the Spark Alliance in Europe, forming the Europe's largest EV charging network and showing the success of TCC's strategies.

Taiwan has officially entered a super-aged society. In the Dongrong community, located near TCC Green Energy's Aquavoltaic projects in Budai and Yizhu, Chiayi, an aging population is a pressing concern. This Dragon Boat Festival, TCC Green Energy partnered with the local association to host a "Green Care" event. Through interactive zongzi wrapping and aromatic sachet crafting, the activity aimed to relax the elderly's minds and bodies, embodying TCC's philosophy of industrial and community inclusion.
Sporting a beard, Nicolà Catalano, an engineer from Milan, Italy, working for TCC subsidiary NHOA ENERGY, joined the TCC Dragon Boat team this year. From training to competing in the championship, he not only gained a deep understanding of Dragon Boat Festival culture but also profoundly experienced team spirit and cultural significance during the training. The United Nations has set a target for new buildings to reduce embodied carbon by at least 40% by 2030. In response, TCC is developing the lowest carbon products at operational sites worldwide. In October 2023, TCC launched Taiwan's lowest-carbon Portland-limestone Cement Concrete, which has received positive feedback from partners across Taiwan. During COP29, TCC invited hundreds of partners to establish the "Low-Carbon Construction Pioneer Alliance," contributing to environmental sustainability through the production and use of low-carbon building materials.
Accelerating the energy transition is essential to global climate change. Taiwan, with its limited natural resources, faces challenges in developing a single renewable energy source. Therefore, Taiwan has fully promoted "Aquavoltaics" since 2018. Balancing the development of both sectors and fostering co-prosperity with local communities is essential. A young aquaculture expert from NPUST has joined TCC Green Energy at the aquavoltaics site in Chiayi to explore solutions through hands-on experience.
About 90% of global trade is carried by maritime transport, which relies heavily on fossil fuels, contributing around 3% of global carbon emissions. In response to the 2050 net-zero emission target, Ta-Ho Maritime Corporation, under TCC Group Holdings, not only complies with the latest international regulations on ship carbon reduction to protect the ocean and ecology but also proactively adopts various energy conservation and carbon reduction measures to meet the sustainability development needs of international clients and enhance market competitiveness.

TCC's sustainability practices extend beyond the research and production of low-carbon products to include the daily lives of its employees. The employee cafeteria at the TCC Building, which reopened after the pandemic, focuses on low-carbon operations. In addition to actively reducing plastic use at the source, the cafeteria lowers its carbon footprint through careful ingredient selection, allowing TCC employees to take part in the low-carbon lifestyle transformation at lunchtime.
At this year's Suppliers Convention, TCC Chairman Nelson Chang urged suppliers to shoulder greater social and environmental responsibilities while pursuing economic development. However, TCC recognizes that many suppliers are small in scale, making it relatively challenging for them to adopt sustainable practices and management. Therefore, along this journey, TCC has also been learning how to strengthen partnerships and work together with suppliers to promote a green supply chain.

"Mines are the core of the industry." TCC has been committed to the rehabilitation of the ecosystem in its mining areas for 20 years. According to the latest TNFD Report, the indigenous species index has increased by 1.5 times, and the Shannon-Weiner diversity index has grown from 0.93 to 1.75, an 88% increase. At the same time, TCC has adopted an international methodology specific to the cement industry, setting a target for a net positive impact on nature by 2040. The evaluation process revealed that TCC's Mines in Hualien and Yilan, which are the first to be hit by typhoons, have shown a continuous rise in biodiversity index, indicating that rehabilitation efforts have effectively enhanced the mines’ natural resilience.
