"Gained a lot of charging and grid-related know-how, very beneficial," "TCC is dedicated to sustainable engagement..."

NHΩA.TCC is committed to providing safe, efficient, and low-carbon energy solutions. Through its "Green Energy, Charging and Storage Integration" and "EnergyArk, Charging and Storage Integration" models, the company collaborates with car manufacturers and electric vehicle owners to reduce electricity costs and carbon emissions. Since 2022, TCC Energy Storage has launched the "Off-Peak Charging for Earth" campaign, aiming to reduce grid load and carbon emissions from charging by leading electric vehicle owners to shift their charging times to off-peak hours. Over the past three years, nearly 700 electric vehicle owners have participated in this campaign, resulting in a reduction of nearly 10 tons of carbon emissions.

EV Charging Stations Integrating Green Electricity, Charging, and Renewables

NHΩA.TCC has established low-carbon charging station with "Charging and Storage Integration" in Taipei, Tainan, Yilan, Hualien, and Taitung. These stations store electricity during off-peak hours and prioritize stored power for EV users during peak times. Data shows that TCC's storage systems can reduce grid peak loads by up to 90%.

At the end of 2023, "green energy wheeling" was implemented to supply clean renewable energy to the Tainan Yawan station, significantly reducing the use of "gray electricity" and carbon emissions at the fast-charging station. In February 2024, the Yawan station achieved 100% green energy use and became Taiwan's first fast-charging station to achieve RE100 during peak hours.

At the TCC DAKA station, EV drivers can experience Taiwan's first fully green-powered “24K GREEN” charging pile, which entirely by solar energy from the “DAKA Smart Flower” and stored by its storage system. Meanwhile, the Taipei Zhishan and Lequn stations, located in suburbs of Taipei, feature solar-powered lighting atop their structures, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 3,600 kg annually.

"Off-Peak Charging for Earth" Utilization Increases to Over 84%
To reduce grid load and promote carbon reduction, NHΩA.TCC launched the "Off-Peak Charging for Earth" campaign in 2022, encouraging electric vehicle owners to choose the right charging times to reduce carbon emissions. Electric vehicle owners who charge at NHOA.TCC stations between 10 PM and 10 AM would receive one extra unit of electricity for every unit charged, potentially reducing approximately 0.5 kg of carbon emissions.

Echoing Earth Day, NHΩA.TCC continues to launch the "Off-Peak Charging for Earth" campaign in 2023 and 2024, collaborating with electric vehicle owners to practice carbon reduction. According to NHΩA.TCC's analysis, only 20% of electric vehicle owners used charging stations during off-peak hours (10 PM to 10 AM) previously. However, during the campaign periods, NHOA.TCC stations’ off-peak charging rates increased to over 84%, with 670 electric vehicle owners participating and reducing approximately 9,864.14 kg of carbon emissions.

"EnergyArk Charging and Storage" Model Globally

NHΩA.TCC actively promotes the “EnergyArk Charging and Storage” model, combining the EnergyArk storage systems made of ultra-high performance concrete and charging stations. NHΩA.TCC has installed charging stations integrating charging and EnergyArk storage systems at the buildings of TCC Group Holdings that are expected to operate externally this year, including the “TCC Hualien Hoping Plant Station”, “C.F. KOO Building” in Hangzhou, and “A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel” of LDC Hotels & Resorts. These stations will support power dispatching, prioritizing stored energy during peak times.

In addition to TCC's sites, NHΩA.TCC is also collaborating with car manufacturers to improve electricity utilization efficiency and assist car manufacturers in achieving their green transformation goals. NHΩA.TCC has introduced energy storage systems at Volkswagen dealership charging stations, significantly reducing operating costs and helping car manufacturers reduce carbon emissions from electricity use. As one of the regions with the highest electric vehicle penetration rates globally, NHΩA.TCC plans to introduce the "EnergyArk, Charging and Storage Integration" model to the European market this year, representing not only the promotion of a business model but also NHΩA.TCC's active participation in the global energy transition.

A Mission-Driven Path to a Sustainable Future

Chairman Nelson Chang once said: “The 21st Century is an energy era. Only if humankind can embrace the green energy storage ark, and properly store energy borrowed from nature can the earth be restored to its original pristine state.” NHΩA.TCC’s charging stations are not just energy infrastructure but also pivotal platforms for promoting green transportation and low-carbon living. Through innovative energy equipment and low-carbon operations, NHΩA.TCC aims to raise global awareness of green energy and storage, paving the way for a sustainable future together.
