TCC published its 2025 Sustainability Report, disclosing for the first time the sustainability performance of 386 operating sites across Asia, Europe, and Africa, spanning 11 industries and more than 800 ESG indicators. While advancing its global operations, TCC deepens its carbon reduction. In 2025, the net carbon emission intensity per ton of cementitious materials (Scope 1 net) of its Cement and Environmental Protection Business dropped to 608 kg CO₂, a further decrease of 4.4% compared to 2024. The total carbon reduction of its cement business worldwide decreased by 34% compared to the 2016 base year, exceeding the 1.5°C absolute decarbonization target by 108%. The introduction of AI technology in the manufacturing process improved carbon reduction efficiency by 1.8%, and the external carbon reduction impact created for clients by low-carbon and new energy products and services reached 1.33 million tons, an increase of nearly 5% from the previous year. In terms of financial performance, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) since the transformation reached 5.88%, and the low-carbon layout has been concretely reflected in the financial structure.
In terms of material innovation and new energy, the combined annual production capacity of calcined clay cement, which is regarded as a key new material for cement carbon reduction, at TCC's plants in Portugal and Africa has reached 1.5 million tons to support urban renewal needs in Europe. At the same time, TCC also launched "A-Fluire" with a compressive strength of 10,000 psi and circular permeable concrete with permeability five times that of general products. In the new energy business, the global electric vehicle charging platform has built over 5,000 charging points.
TCC also integrates low-carbon construction materials and green energy across domains, building a smart green community in the disaster area of Türkiye using 3D printed low-carbon mortar and circular materials, which was listed as a key project for the UN COP31. TCC also applies AI to "carbon storage calculation" in global quarries, training AI models based on satellite data from the European Space Agency, and plans to apply for third-party verification of carbon credits in 2027.
In terms of transition governance, TCC incorporates just transition into its governance framework. Following the Jurong Plant in Jiangsu and the Yingde Plant in Guangdong, the Hoping Plant in Hualien became the third site to introduce a complete AI Autonomous Electric Mining Truck System, and during the process upgrade, it led truck drivers to transition to new work models. At the same time, TCC launched the “AI Co-Learning & Empowerment Project " to promote empowerment courses in surrounding communities and carry out cross-generational AI co-learning.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of TCC Group Holdings. Nelson An-ping Chang, Chairman of TCC, emphasized: "True internationalization is not about drawing a bigger map, but about making values go further."
The cover of the report features the theme of "Digital Nautilus," symbolizing the resilience of life that has continuously adapted and changed over 500 million years, demonstrating TCC's response to the development of civilization with the power of technology and sustainability. The 2025 TCC Sustainability Report has passed AA1000 Type 2 and the latest ISSA 5000 third-party assurance, and introduced Gemini Notebook to provide AI search services. The full report is now available in the ESG section of TCC Group' s official website.
