TCC Group Holdings (“TCC”) has been recognized as one of HR Asia' s Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2026, marking the fifth time the company has received the award. The recognition comes as TCC celebrates its 80th anniversary and continues to expand beyond its traditional cement business into low-carbon materials, resource circulation, energy, and global operations. This transformation has also reshaped the company’s talent strategy and ways of working.

In this year's assessment, TCC scored above the industry average in technology empowerment and sustainable workplace practices. The company also launched the 2026 TCC International Summer Internship Program, conducted entirely in English and bringing together students of different nationalities from universities in Taiwan and abroad. From cultivating a new generation of global talent to integrating AI into the workplace and supporting the transformation of its existing workforce, TCC' s talent development is advancing in step with its broader business transformation.

Amid the rapid advancement of AI and digital technologies, TCC continues to integrate digital tools into its operations. Through its AI Transformation Program, the company encourages teams to propose AI applications based on real business needs. The program builds practical experience through proposal development, evaluation, cross-departmental collaboration, and implementation.

Complementing this initiative, the AI Co-Learning and Empowerment Program adopts a three-stage approach—AI literacy, hands-on technical experience, and real-world industrial application—to help employees develop the skills needed to work with emerging technologies. At the Heping mine in Hualien, TCC is preparing to introduce an AI-powered autonomous electric mining truck system while helping experienced drivers transition into intelligent fleet control roles, ensuring that technological advancement and workforce transformation progress together.

As TCC continues to expand its global footprint, its workforce now comprises approximately 58 nationalities. The 2026 TCC International Summer Internship Program brought together a multinational, cross-disciplinary cohort of students from Princeton University, the University of Washington, Oregon State University, the University of California, Irvine, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of British Columbia, as well as National Taiwan University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and National Chengchi University.

Under the guidance of TCC executives and mentors, the interns participated in professional projects spanning DIN, energy storage, and AI. They also visited TCC operations, including the Heping Cement Plant in Hualien and E-One Moli Energy in Tainan, gaining firsthand insight into the cement, renewable energy, and energy storage industries.

The program culminated in the Global Vision Innovation Proposal Project, through which the interns applied a next-generation perspective to envision TCC’s development over the next 20 years, global ambitions beyond net zero, building materials for 2050, and the capabilities that future enterprises will require from their talent.

In the area of workplace sustainability, employees expressed strong support for TCC’s efforts in energy conservation, carbon reduction, waste reduction, renewable energy, and sustainable governance. The company continues to translate employee feedback into concrete policies and programs through engagement surveys and its friendly workplace platform. TCC also works with external professional consultants to provide multilingual Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) in Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien, English, and Japanese.

Employee care extends beyond individuals to their families and retirement. In addition to health examinations and medical subsidies for childbirth and dependents, TCC has organized long-term care seminars in response to the growing caregiving needs of an aging society, attracting more than 1,100 participants to date. Retired employees also continue to receive insurance coverage, health examinations, and opportunities to stay connected through social activities.

As TCC Group Holdings evolves from its traditional cement business toward low-carbon building materials, resource circulation, and new energy, the talent and ways of working required by the company are evolving as well. After eight decades, TCC envisions its next phase of transformation as one that extends beyond technology and business—enabling talent across generations to develop new capabilities and take on new roles amid change.
