It is with heavy hearts that TCC bids farewell to Mr. Ker-Fu Lu, a pillar of TCC Group who served as General Manager of TCC Cement (Asia) Environmental Protection Business Group and Chairman of both TCC Green Energy and Ho-Ping Power Management. Chairman of TCC Group Holdings, Nelson Chang, representing the entire TCC family, expressed deep mourning and a profound sense of loss. Mr. Lu was a leader who stood by TCC through decades of transformation, pouring his life’s work into our industry. We offer our most sincere remembrance for his unwavering dedication and his lifelong commitment to the spirit of TCC.
Since joining TCC in 1977, Mr. Lu' s career has been a testament to professional excellence. He was the chief architect behind the group' s expansion, leading the landmark construction of the Yingde Plant and establishing TCC' s formidable presence in Mainland China.
His legacy is defined by his unique ability to bridge worlds. He masterfully steered the group through critical transitions — from traditional manufacturing to the cutting-edge frontiers of environmental protection and green energy. As the head of Ho-Ping Power Management, he was a silent guardian of the nation' s infrastructure, ensuring a stable and resilient energy supply for Northern Taiwan.
At the helm of TCC Green Energy, Mr. Lu pioneered the "Wind, Solar, Geothermal, and Ocean" initiative. He was not merely a manager but a practitioner who sought harmony between industry and nature. His vision for the Fishery-Solar projects in Chiayi was born from a deep, personal love for the land: "Having grown up in a village, I carry the hardships of farmers and fishers in my heart. Our work in green energy is not just about power; it is about creating stability and prosperity for the people who toil upon this earth. We must ensure that our progress benefits everyone."
This commitment to social harmony remains the cornerstone of his enduring legacy.
Beyond the plants and power grids, Mr. Lu' s greatest contribution was his devotion to human wisdom. He believed that the true strength of an enterprise lies in the passage of knowledge. He was a tireless mentor, passing on his "craftsman spirit" and deep respect for front-line operations to a new generation of leaders. He taught us that true innovation must always be anchored in integrity and humility.
Mr. Ker-Fu Lu was a leader of profound action and quiet strength. While he has moved on, his influence remains etched in the infrastructure he built, the green energy he harnessed, and the lives he touched. He was a true craftsman of the modern age — a man who transformed basic industry into a force for social good.
His journey continues through every one of us who strives for the excellence he embodied. We salute a great pioneer !
