Participation in climate-related issues through industry associations
- The Climate-related Public Participation and Management Policy, issued in 2023, apply to TCC and to its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and other affiliates in Taiwan and overseas over which TCC holds substantial control.
- TCC reviews and tracks all climate-related engagement activities, participation in public associations, and policy communications. Outcomes from this participation are regularly reported by the respective responsible units to the Corporate Sustainable Development Committee.
- If a participating public association's climate change policy stance is inconsistent with TCC Group’s, TCC will communicate its position to the association. Subsequently, appropriate responses will be discussed in vice president meetings. Should such inconsistencies persist without resolution, TCC will evaluate withdrawing from that association.
- TCC annually assesses and monitors whether the public positions, statements, advocacy activities, and actions of the public associations in which it participates align with the Paris Agreement, including commitments to limiting global warming and achieving net-zero emissions. In 2025, TCC Group participated in a total of 170 public associations, of which 46 engaged in advocacy related to climate change, accounting for 62% of the total amount contributed to public associations. No inconsistencies in climate change policy stance were identified in 2025.
