 Principles

TCC's Implementation Approach

Ensure adequate wages at or above cost of living estimates or benchmarks
  1. TCC values the basic living security of its employees. TCC continuously references local living costs and market salary levels to progressively review the salary structure of junior positions.
  2. TCC adjusts its salary system as needed in accordance with local regulations and operational conditions to move towards the goal of decent work.
Monitor working hours including overtime management
  1. TCC has activated a system for reporting work extensions after hours to remind employees to evaluate the necessity of overtime requests.
  2. TCC has established a system for reporting working hours and overtime, requiring department heads to carefully assess the need for overtime. This ensures regulatory compliance while balancing employee health and work efficiency. These systems are continuously optimized to meet operational needs.
Ensure employees are paid for overtime workEmployees can choose to apply for compensatory leave or receive overtime pay. Unused compensatory leave hours are carried over to the end of the following month and will be converted into salary if not taken.
Regularly engage with workers' representatives on working conditions
  1. TCC respects the rights of unions and employees to express their opinions. TCC communicates on compensation and working conditions through appropriate channels, including unions, employee representatives, and other communication mechanisms.
  2. TCC discloses information about the company's salary system within a reasonable scope to ensure employees have a basic understanding and provides necessary communication as situations require.
Routinely monitor the gender pay gap to achieve equal remuneration for men and womenTCC adheres to the principle of wage equality. Fairness is a key consideration in the design of its systems, and TCC continuously monitors the potential impact of factors such as gender to prevent disparities.
Expand social protection coverage for workers beyond public programsIn addition to legally required public social protections, TCC provides multiple employee care measures, including health support, group insurance, and mental and physical wellness services. TCC also provides retired employees medical, accident & life insurance. These benefits enhance the overall well-being of the workforce. TCC's compensation and benefits package covers maternity benefits, parental leave, paid personal and sick leave, as well as treasury shares program, employee savings mutual fund, and ESOP to support the diverse needs of employees at different life stages.
Ensure employees are taking their paid annual leave entitlements
  1. TCC provides paid annual leave in accordance with regulations and encourages employees to schedule their time off within the year.
  2. Any unused leave is handled according to internal policy and may be compensated with salary.
Provide training or reskilling to mitigate negative effects of industrial or climate transition changes
  1. TCC views employee development as a key pillar of its sustainable transformation. Through platforms like the "TCC Lyceum" and "TCC Carbon Academy," TCC provides learning resources on topics including AI, digital technology, climate adaptation, and industrial upgrading to strengthen its employees' professional resilience during this transition.
  2. TCC also regularly organizes in-person courses and workshops, while providing online courses and recorded resources to support flexible learning. This approach helps employees progressively build the core competencies needed to face future challenges.
