TCC strictly adheres to the principles of prohibiting child labor, human trafficking, and forced labor. We comply with all relevant wage and working hour regulations, ensuring the timely payment of a fair living wage. We also provide a safe and health-promoting work environment that supports employees in maintaining good physical and mental health and a healthy work-life balance.


Management

  • Key policies, such as the Human Rights Policy, are included as mandatory courses in TCC's annual training program.

  • TCC has established an "Anti-Discrimination Anti-Harassment and Anti-Bullying Policy" to ensure employees understand how to prevent and respond to illegal workplace harm.

  • An online well-being platform, an employee feedback mailbox, and a dedicated policy and complaint channel for preventing and addressing workplace discrimination and harassment have been established.

  • Labor-Management/Union meetings are held quarterly.

  • During merger and acquisition due diligence, we review the company's management policies and related legal records to ensure compliance with human rights regulations.

 
Performance
  • TCC includes its "Human Rights Policy, " "Statement of Integrity and Ethical Conduct, " and "Anti-discrimination, Anti-harassment, and Anti- bullying Policy" as mandatory annual training. All employees must read the policy documents and complete tests yearly. In 2024, online reading rates for Taiwan and Mainland China employees reached 98%, totaling approximately 2,215 hours (calculated based on 15 minutes reading/test time). CIMPOR and OYAK CEMENT plan to launch in 2025.

  • To foster a harmonious labor-management relationship, TCC has established labor unions across all its Taiwan plants and signed collective bargaining agreements. In 2024, the proportion of all employees who joined a union across TCC's cement businesses in Taiwan and Mainland China, as well as Hoping Power Plant, was 91% of the total workforce.

  • In 2024, an anonymous engagement survey for all employees in Taiwan, Mainland China, and aliated companies, with a 98% response rate and an overall average engagement of 87%.

     

Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence

  • In response to the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), which was passed on April 24, 2024, TCC proactively reviews and responds to its impact on the value chain. The company incorporates the voices of stakeholders, such as customers and local residents, into its decision-making, engaging in active communication and providing appropriate responses.

  • TCC's due diligence methods primarily refer to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the Human Rights Due Diligence Training Guide; the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and its annexes; and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct and Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

  • TCC reviews its overall human rights risks at least every three years. The first human rights and environmental due diligence was conducted in 2024, and it will be performed regularly thereafter.

TCC is committed to creating a safe work environment. It has established the Internal Control Policy on Occupational Safety and Health Management, which applies to group employees, dispatched outsourced workers, and contractors, with the goal of achieving a vision of zero workplace injuries.
